Editorial

Hervé Amiot is a guitarist and composer from a tiny town in France and one of the leading lights of a fingerpicking technique brought to the country by the late Marcel Dadi. Mastering the guitar over the past twenty years and influenced by notes of folk, jazz, and bluegrass, his fingerpicking means he plays the melody, bass and chords at once, creating the effect of multiple instruments playing together.
His melodic compositions create mesmerizing events making even large audiences feel like they have slipped inside his musical universe. With an EP and emotive premier solo album released, Hervé continues to affirm his position as a defining voice in intricate acoustic folk guitar.
